A must-have for railway enthusiasts, this special ink stick is made using soot collected from the preserved Japanese National Railways steam locomotive D51, affectionately known as Degoichi, still maintained in working condition at the Umekoji Locomotive Depot.
The ink stick is engraved with “D51” as a decorative carving, and comes with a commemorative vial of soot smoke from the actual Degoichi locomotive.
