軸径9.5mm、穂長42mmの馬の毛を使った筆で、元々は書き初めの名前書き用に作った筆ですが、当時少し大きめに作ってしまったらしく、割と中途半端な大きさになってしまった筆になります、、、、ところが作りはしっかりしてるし硬めの馬毛で意外に書きやすいとのことで、お値段も下げさせていただくとワークショップなどでの使用にいいと評判の筆になりました。
This is a medium-sized calligraphy brush made from sturdy horsehair, with a shaft diameter of approx. 9.5 mm and a bristle length of 42 mm.
Originally designed for writing names on kakizome (New Year’s calligraphy), this brush ended up slightly larger than intended—resulting in a somewhat in-between size. While it didn’t quite fit its original purpose, it turned out to be surprisingly well-balanced and easy to use thanks to its solid construction and firm bristles.
