普通の濃さから濃墨まで、古くなるほど超濃墨まで使えますが、淡墨には不向きです。

“Gyokuhin” (玉品) is a high-quality ink stick made with premium pine soot (高級松煙) using the traditional direct-fire method (鈜物性直火焚煙).
It is specifically formulated for kanji calligraphy practice and clean final drafts, suitable for both hanshi and gassen-shi (Japanese calligraphy paper types).

This ink stick performs best with regular to thick ink concentrations, and becomes particularly rich with age—eventually supporting super-dense black (超濃墨).
Not recommended for very light ink (tanboku) use.

Ink Characteristics:

Base tone: Slightly muted black with reddish-brown undertones

Thick ink tone: Deep black with a strong, warm red hue, ideal for powerful and expressive strokes
