Shisen is a premium calligraphy paper created in pursuit of the ideal writing experience.
Crafted with raw straw cultivated in-house, it offers a refined brush resistance that brings out the depth and richness of sumi ink.
The addition of mitsumata fibers (Edgeworthia chrysantha) imparts a subtle natural sheen to the surface.

Thanks to its low bleed and the firm contact between brush and paper, ink adheres beautifully, resulting in crisp, expressive strokes.
These features make it exceptionally well-suited for serious calligraphy.
